Should men put on socks with their native attire?
Today I am taking a detour from the normal writings to fashion. Today I actually want to talk about something most men are getting wrong especially when it comes to putting on socks on their shoes with their native attire. The ladies can also read through for the benefit of their brothers, boyfriend or husband.
When I see people put on socks or laced shoes with their native, mehn it is often a turn off for me. Looking good is not costly most times, combining your outfit is also of essence. I know some persons who even have the money but still get their fashion style wrong so most times it is not about the money, it is just about knowing the right thing to do. So let's get down to it.
Gone are the days when people wear native with the length of the trouser just beneath their footwear or sweeping the floor. The new style is to wear native with trouser length around the ankles. This makes you to look neat and smart.
Fashion is evolving, it could be funny to people who see you put on socks on shoes when wearing native attire. Avoid wearing socks with your shoes when wearing native outfit there is no excuse for socks. Although native wear and half socks is acceptable, as long as people do not see the socks.
When dressing to attend an occasion, put on nice leather shoes (not laced up) to complete your outfit. Wearing a leather slipper is only allowed when your native wear is a simple plain one. Please do not wear leather slippers with agbada. Edaakun (please). Put on loafers and not laced up shoes.
