BE RESPONSIBLE; COMPLAIN LESS.
Complaining about what government has failed and fails to do is the easiest task for the citizens. We complain virtually about everything and do nothing. It is not wrong to complain though, don't get me wrong.
The mandatory one year National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has opened my eyes to see the doom the would soon befall us if most of the youth get into power.
As a corps member, I have seen that we are best at giving complaints whereas we are mostly the complain. The little thing placed in our hands are not effectively delivered. Corps members are to take one day to attend their Community Development Service (CDS) meetings, but we all complain about going to the meeting because we claim to be busy but I have seen that many corps members are actually always busy doing nothing on this day.
You have been given the opportunity to show your ability in handling national duties as a corps member but most persons have failed woefully and we keep complaining about the failed governance we have experienced in this country.
The little we are expected to do as citizen have not been delivered and you think we will be able to deliver when we are placed at the helm of affairs to function in the government. What changes are you making as a citizen?
Remember that drops of water actually makes an ocean. Our little efforts to be helpful with the little task at hand will go a long in changing our society. Be a responsible citizen and a responsible human being.
