Good day and welcome to Chat With temidada, I am glad to have you here.

Kuddy Chris: Thanks so much
for having me on your platform.

Can we meet you please?

Kuddy Chris: My Names are Uzor Christian Joseph, A.K.A KUDDY Chris, I'm an Afro Beat Recording Artist and a Higher National Diploma graduate in Mass Communication from the Federal Polytechnic Bida, Niger State.
KUDDY Chris hails from Oji-River LGA, Enugu State.

Can we know a little out of your background please?

Kuddy Chris: I was born 17th September 1993, in Enugu State. I grew up and studied in St John's Nur/Pri sch and New Creation Academy Sec. School, I was part of a music group formed in Sec. School days With Kils & Joe Breezy, before going solo and already working on an E.P Project set to Drop Next year.

Can we have a look into your family background?

Kuddy Chris: I was born into a Christian family.
I am the first born , and almost everybody in my family loves Music.
My mom sings in the church choir till today, and I love music so much.

Why did you choose Music?

Kuddy Chris: Laughs... I grew up in a neighborhood where music was a way to express yourself and I was close to the church and sang in the choir, it gives me joy and I love it and have been recording good songs.

How did the love of music start with you?

Kuddy Chris: From childhood, listening to high Life music by Morocco Maduka and Chief Osita Osadebe, then I  fell in love with hip hop rap and influenced by 2pac, jcole and Kendrick Lamar.

When did you start music profeasionally?

Kuddy Chris: I started recording since 2011, after graduating from secondary school.

How has music helped you?

Kuddy Chris: It has shaped my IQ, and it is the veritable tool to say how I feel about myself and my community.

What can you say about Nigeria music industry?

Kuddy Chris: Nigeria muaaic has evolve to a point where it is being accepted world wide. We are setting the pace for others in the world and not only Africa. Nigeria music is wide as the sky, and anybody has high chance to fly once you arr putting out a good material.

What triggers you before putting out any song (your inspiration)?

Kuddy Chris: My inspirations comes in a weird and miraculous ways, but basically when I am having conversations with people. In the course of my discussion with people what we discuss moat times triggers what I sing about.

Any difficulty with your family while starting out your music career?

Kuddy Chris: No, my family has been supporting my music career from the start, especially my mom and this has made it easy for me, because I don't have to convince my family before they accept what I am doing.

Why not follow the line of your mum; singing in the choir?

Kuddy Chris: Lol, I know that was coming. I think it's a personal choice, so far my music preaches good and not rubbish.

What are the songs you have released so far?

Kuddy Chris: I have released couples of works but Revolution is the latest offering but all my songs are available on digital platforms.

How is the reception of your songs?

Kuddy Chris: Good, my fans relate with my songs quite well, and I am still working hard to get more audience that appreciates good music.

What are the challenges you have encountered so far?

Kuddy Chris: Financial constraint, it's hard to get studio sessions and get a good video that is commercial because music is a big business, you need to invest big & well to attain your goals. So I will say basically, it is finance.

What is the happiest thing that has happened to you as a music artist?

Kuddy Chris: Being paid, awards won & motivation from fans.

What are the next steps you are looking at in your career?

Kuddy Chris: To drop my EP (Extended Play) and be the biggest Artist in Africa.

Can you say Nigerian music is addressing the societal issues it ought to address?

Kuddy Chris: Some artist who do good music address the societal issues respect to 2 Baba, Burna Boy etc.

Are you signed to any record label?

Kuddy Chris: I am not sigbed to any record label yet but we hope for the best very soon. We keep doing the good work and hope a good record label sees it and pick interest in me.

If you don't do music, what else would you have been involved in?

Kuddy Chris: Public relations, or turn out to be a footballer.

Advice to youth in the country?

Kuddy Chris: Fight for what is yours, stay out of violence, shun drugs & mental genocide.

Tip: Fight for what is yours and what you believe in, so far it is the right thing. Pursue the right cause, do not be moved by the evil that is trending but focus on what is right to do.
